Mocktail Recipe: Spicy Pineapple Margarita

Description

A zero-proof version of a spicy pineapple margarita. This version uses jalapeño slices for the heat, balanced by the lime juice, orange simple syrup, and the pineapple juice. Consider skipping the muddling if you want it less spicy, or add more jalapeño slices to the muddling step for a spicier beverage.

Steps

  1. Place chili lime seasoning on small plate
  2. Wet half (or all) the rim of a rocks glass or margarita glass using a lime wedge
  3. Dip the wet part of the rim in the seasoning
  4. In the cocktail shaker combine the lime juice and the jalapeño slice(s)
  5. Muddle the jalapeño and lime juice together
  6. Add tequila alternative, orange simple syrup, and pineapple juice to shaker
  7. Add large ice cubes, cover, and shake for 10-12 seconds
  8. Using a fine-mesh strainer, double strain into the rimmed glass
  9. Add 2-3 ice cubes and garnish
