Sourdough English Muffins
Notes
- First time trying this recipe, and they tasted really good
- I didn’t get the height or size that I’d prefer, learning some things along the way:
- Use a biscuit cutter if possible
- I used the lid of a mason jar and the muffins weren’t large enough in diameter
- Don’t roll the dough out too flat, err on the side of a little too tall
- I baked some and did some on the griddle
- On some of the later ones that I did on the griddle, and with all of the ones that I baked, the internals didn’t bake all the way through (though they were still really tasty)
- When baking, a full 10mins or more per side is needed, unless the dutch oven is really heated up
- When on the stovetop / griddle: it needs to be fully preheated to get the desired height, but careful about burning when attempting to get the full bake all the way through
