To have much learning and skill, to be well-trained in discipline, and good in speech — this is the highest blessing. — The Buddha

More Rust Learning

With a bit of free time today, I continued my project organization and learning dedicated to moving my personal website build forward. More specifically, I spent some time learning more about how to prepare a full-fledged rust program, given that my current script is just that: a script. The more that I thought about what will be needed in order to bring my Obsidian vault content over, store it, process it, and then prepare it to build the website, the more I realized that the logic will quickly outgrow a simple script.

So in my googling, I came across a fantastic article series by Gian Lorenzetto, published on Medium for getting started quickly with Rust, cargo, etc… It’s really helped to fill in the gaps in my rust knowledge, and even led me to reinstall rust the right way.

The first post in the series can be found here. I’m still working through the entire series, but the first 3 articles were great.
